Overview
"Unite 2022: Unity Afterparty" was an extraordinary event born from collaboration with Unity. This multi-destination concert took center stage on two platforms, our very own Future Fest and the virtual reality platform Vroom. This event included an interactive virtual world for the concert, complemented by a multi-cam hologram of the artist. To ensure a flawless production, we meticulously mapped out the entire event digitally in advance, capturing multiple angles of the artist during production to bring a captivating and immersive experience to our virtual audience.
Approach
Coordinated with Unity's Live Entertainment division design team to bring their vision to life. I built the stage and UV'd the artist renderers in a way to push the most optimized version of the stream without sacrificing the visual direction. I used texture pixel mapping to sync in game dmx lights to the lights in the stream. This was done to create the illusion that the artists are in scene. DOTS was used to create performant visual effects like the wave particle ceiling and the dmx lights.
